Mystical Wonders of Earth: Angel Falls

Ava Bartley

Do you remember that movie about an elderly man who flew to Paradise Falls using balloons strapped to his house? Where he had to take a kid with him because that kid had to earn his ‘helping the elderly’ badge? Do you remember the gorgeous waterfall Carl wanted to live next to in the movie Up? Well what if I told you that was a real place.

Angel Falls, located in Venezuela, is the real life inspiration for Paradise Falls from the movie Up. It’s the tallest nonstop waterfall in the world. When it’s the rainy season, Angel Falls creates its own weather. It is 3 times larger than the Eiffel Tower.
