Ahh.. it’s so clear in the water today…maybe a little too clear. Is that the sky? I thought I was looking down? Wait a minute…

Salar De Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat. With a size around 4,086 square miles, it is located amid the Andes in southwest Bolivia. The Andes sound familiar? The Rainbow Mountain is also a point on the Andes and is in another article.

Anyway, Salar De Uyuni is a salt flat. A salt flat is a flat piece of ground covered with salt and other minerals. The Salar De Uyuni is a beautiful place for taking pictures, of course it may look like you’re flying, and an ideal place for calibrating satellites. I very much recommend you going, please show me pictures if you can!

(Disclaimer: You can eat the salt, but don’t eat too much!)
