The Stress Within School-Work

March 28, 2022
Having a lot of school work or even a lot of work in general can easily stress people out. As schools are getting closer to the end, assignments are piling on top of other assignments, and so on. The pressure is all on the students to do the work right, and to be able to pass on to the next grade. All students know that most of the time there is a deadline for assignments, and if you turn work in late it can sometimes result in points being taken off even if all of the answers are right. Now with some schools having at least 4-7 classes a day, students can get a lot of homework and that has to be turned in the next day.
Many kids in school play after-school sports, which adds on to the pressure they are under. Kids are not only focused on passing to the next grade, but also winning at sports games. One teacher should not give out two to three pages of homework per day with students having to complete it in one night as well as having practice or games. And if they have to give out that much more work then the deadline should be extended so they can complete the teacher assignments and do the things they love as well. Teachers as well as coaches should think more about a reasonable time to schedule things and a reasonable amount of work to give out.
What do you think should be fixed within school systems?
