Sadly, on December 31, 2021, Betty White passed. Betty was an animal lover and was known to support animal rights. To honor her, JoAnne Worley and Loretta Swit were two of many celebrities to help campaign online. Almost 400,000 people used Instagram and Facebook to help donate to animal shelters and rescues over the US. Overall $12.7 million was donated and every single dollar went to the organization.

A few of the places to get money included two shelters in Philadelphia that got $100,000 total, $70,000 was brought in for a Los Angeles zoo. A shelter in Arkansas got $12,000, and a shelter in Iowa brought in $13,000! Many animals’ and peoples’ lives were changed from these kind acts.
