MCJH Is Getting in the Christmas Spirit

MCJH Is Getting in the Christmas Spirit

Allie Kate Austin, School Clubs Editor

MCJH is ready for Christmas! Clubs, sports, and others are taking part in celebrating Christmas in many ways this year such as dressing out events, doing fun activities, carrying on traditions, and even helping their community.

BASKETBALL

For the rest of December, the junior high girls’ basketball team is wearing Christmas socks during their games. The team dressed similarly during breast cancer awareness month (October) as they wore pink socks to represent their awareness. Don’t forget to come out and support your Tigers and Tigerettes!

MCJH Tigerettes wore pink socks in October as shown and will likewise wear Christmas socks this December.

DRAMA

The MCJH Drama Club is putting on their annual Christmas play for the whole school. The actors cannot wait to show off their skills and hard work. The play will be on December 15th, 2021.

YEARBOOK/NEWSPAPER

Yearbook and newspaper staff made easy, little, crafty ornaments for Christmas as a treat for their hard work this semester. They looked super cute and festive!

CHEER

The school cheerleaders will show their holiday pride by dressing out in Christmas apparel (shirts, hats, and socks) for the home basketball games. Also, they have prepared a Christmas dance which will be performed at the games.

4-H

For a whole week, members of 4-H worked on a float for the local Macon County Christmas parade. The hard work paid off, for the float looked magnificent!

INTERACT

Interact members assisted two children in need this Christmas through an angel tree. The tasks were given to each group of genders (the guys were assigned a boy, the girls a girl,) and each person bought gifts for the special boy or girl. Each child will receive lots of love from every member of Interact!

MCJH really enjoys celebrating Christmas! From giving gifts to even just showing the Christmas spirit, everyone has enjoyed celebrating the holiday.
