As you may know, there is a contest going around(if you don’t know, see the article Contest For All Students.) If you are thinking about participating, listen to these tips on how to win.

1. Before writing, think about what the story should be about. If not, you will be writing a bunch of random pieces of entertainment. After all, you are writing an essay on what you will be doing in 10 years.

2. Be creative. There will be over 100 essays posted, and you must make yours stand out from the rest.

3. Add a theme. This is just a suggestion, but you can add a life lesson in your story, whether it’s fiction or non-fiction. Theme gives your essay a little ounce of strength.

4. Know your audience. It is good to know so that you know who you are up against.

5. Make it neat. People need to be able to read your writing, or else they won’t know a clue on what you are saying. I suggest using Ariel font.

All of these tips will sure help you win. There is only one important thing you must remember, though. This essay contest is just for fun. Don’t be upset if you win or not. As long as you had fun competing, you are a winner.
