Wave Two

November 10, 2020
It is already clear wave one of the coronavirus has finished for a while. However since Election Day in particular, Covid-19 cases have begun to spike once more, and tons of students and teachers at this very school have gone into quarantine. This means only one thing: we are beginning hit WAVE TWO of the pandemic.
The worst day ever since this mess began turned out to be Election Day. Covid cases spiked to a tremendous extent, and therefore, the pandemic reached a high peak. Most likely the reason for this spike was where people went to public places to cast their vote for the 2020 election. Numerous amounts of people were dangerously exposed to the virus, and another margin of people caught it.
Not only have there been cases and exposure spikes across the country, but at our own school as well. Last week when I walked into my band class, there was only a handful of people there. More people in other classes however have also been quarantined, including some teachers as well.
This pandemic is still going strong, and we may be in this for the long run. Don’t be surprised when you get the call from the office saying that you need to grab all of your stuff and go up front. Luckily, it is November, meaning this terrible year is almost over. Remember the pandemic will not go away overnight, because it takes us all to get rid of it.
What do you think will happen in Wave 2? Are you prepared for what will come next?
