Remembering Ruth Bader Ginsburg

A Powerful Woman Who Helped Many Women in America

Remembering Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Grace Clevenger

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a role model for gender equality and a protector of women’s rights. She served as a justice on the supreme court for 27 years, but she was on the court for 13 years before president Bill Clinton appointed her in 1993. She was the second women to serve on the United States Supreme Court. Ginsburg lived a fulfilled life fighting against gender discrimination.

Ginsburg did many things. She launched the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) women rights project. She also made it so men couldn’t be the only gender serving in the military, but they fought along with women. This justified that there was no excuse for women with talent being denied because of their gender. She also played a huge part in equal pay in the workplace between women and men. Ginsburg has had a huge affect on women’s rights, and she deserves to be remembered for it. She will be greatly missed by the people of this country.
