How To Stay Warm During The Winter
January 28, 2020
The winter season is here and it’s that time of the year when everyone sips on their hot chocolate and enjoys the cold season. With that said, this is also the time of the year when everyone struggles to stay warm. I will share some tips on how to stay warm this winter season.
Tip#1: Try making your own hand warmer. Making this hand warmer is really easy because all you need to do is get some rice and pour it in an old sock that you don’t wear anymore or you can’t find the match to. Then make a knot and put the sock into the microwave. Let the hand warmer heat up in the microwave for around 2-3 minutes and Bingo! You got yourself a homemade hand warmer.
Tip#2: Eat warm liquids and foods. In order to keep the warmth in your body, you need to eat warm liquids and food. Trynot to consume cold foods or drinks during the winter. Some foods you may eat are warm, yummy soups such as chicken noodle soup, chili, or even vegetable soup! Also, you can drink coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.
Tip#3: Stay active. Staying active gets you warmed up and also keeps you fit during the icy weather. I think that you should consider working out inside because the more you are outside, the more likely you are to get sick. If you don’t like exercising by running or lifting weights, you can also play sports.
Tip#4: Dress in warm clothes. Don’t go out in 20 degree weather wearing only a thin jacket. Not wearing the appropriate amount of clothing is the main reason you are cold in the winter. Always wear a jacket, and always consider thick socks, gloves, and a boggin!
Tip#5: Try not to go outside if it’s not necessary. This could also help keep the warm air inside your home and keep you warm too. My favorite thing to do when you can’t go outside is watch movies with my family.

I will tell my mom the idea of warming socks with rice in it, then maybe put them in my gloves when I go outside.
