Movies That Should Have A Sequel
November 21, 2019
Most people see a movie and want a remake or sequel. I know what it feels like; there are a lot of awesome movies that needs a new movie to continue the story. Whether a movie does have a remake or not, it is still a good movie. In my opinion, here are ten movies that need a sequel though. Be aware that there are spoiler ahead.
1. Spider-Man Far From Home (2019)
After the death of Tony Stark, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) had some big shoes to fill; especially when elemental monsters threaten to destroy the world. After realizing that the monsters were holograms created by Quentin Beck (aka Mysterio), Peter heads to London to stop the madness. Attempting to stop Peter, Beck gets killed. During the cut scene, it shows that Beck framed Peter by making it look like Spidey purposely murdered Beck! But that’s not all- Beck revealed that Spider-Man was Peter Parker. Leaving this movie open for a sequel probably for next year.
2. Mission Impossible Fallout (2018)
The sixth Mission: Impossible movie was an amazing movie in my opinion. Ethan Hunt and the rest of the IMF team attempt to hunt down John Lark after a mission gone wrong. In order to gain the trust of the new Syndicate, or the Apostles, Hunt must break out the terrorist Solomon Lane. At the end, the real John Lark, or August Walker, doesn’t get the ending he wanted. Solomon Lane is then taken back into custody, again. This movie is already going to get its sequel in 2021 (Yes, I looked that up).
3. SHAZAM! (2019)
14-year old orphan Billy Batson is transformed into an adult superhero after encountering a wizard. Yet, Dr. Thaddeus Sivana hunts down Billy to take his power. At the cut scene at the end, it shows Sivana in prison trying to open the door, when this worm thing tells him that there is another way to get power.
4. Ready Player One (2018)
Wade Watts is thrust into adventure to find three keys in the Oasis before the IOI can take over it. Fighting in the real and Virtual worlds, this shows that the Oasis is not a game anymore. Nolan Sorento attempts to kill Wade in the real world, but then is taken into custody. Hopefully next year it will show what happens to Wade and the rest of the High Five. the Oasis is not a game anymore
5. Venom (2018)
After getting attacked by a “parasite,” Eddie befriends this symbiote until Riot (which is also a symbiote) foils the plans. Eddie and Venom race against time in order to stop Riot, coming out victorious. The cut scene at the end shows Eddie speaking with this inmate at a prison. The red-haired lunatic tells Eddie that there will be “carnage.” if you are a Marvel geek like me, you should know that Carnage is a red symbiote a lot like Venom, but acts more like Riot.hopefully next year we will see what happens to Eddie and Venom.
6. Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse (2018)
After Kingpin creates a collider that brings multiple dimensions together, Miles Morales must take over Spider-Man after the Peter Parker in his world is murdered by Kingpin. He then joins up with Spider-People from other dimensions to truly become his own Spider-Man. The cut scene at the end (Marvel does way too many cut scenes), it shows Spider-Man 2099 attempting to make jumps to other dimensions.
7. Deadpool 2 (2018)
Even though I have only seen the PG-13 movie of this, it is still basically the same story. After Vanessa is killed, Wade attempts to save this boy from a super-soldier from the future (Cable). Cable then helps Wade rescue the boy and return him to the mansion. Deadpool 3 seems like a really good idea after this movie! Don’t you think?
8. Avengers Endgame (2019)
This movie was left open in a lot of ways, including normal superhero Marvel movies. With Tony Stark, Vision, and Natasha dead, and Steve (Cap) retired, this is a good movie for a sequel.
9. Captain Marvel (2019)
After her major appearance in Endgame and her own movie, Captain Marvel is an amazing hero to have a sequel. After she nearly killed Thanos, she probably has some issues with the Kree Empire, and a sequel will show how that will happen.
10. Kong Skull Island (2017)
This movie featured a hunt just after the Vietnam War. when searching for this survivor, the team encounters King Kong attempting to get rid of monsters on his island. This movie could have a sequel where Kong somehow gets dropped off in America in the modern time.
What do you think? Are there any movies that you think should have been added?

Kong: Skull Island is a 2017 American monster film directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and written by Dan Gilroy, Max Borenstein and Derek Connolly. It is a reboot of the King Kong franchise, and serves as the second film in Legendary’s Monster Verse.

I have never watched any of the movie above, except for Ready Player One. I feel like most sequels aren’t as good as the original, I mean some are good. Good sequels are rare, though . Nice article nonetheless.

If I had to pick one movie that I put down to continually watch over and over again, it would definitely be MI 6: Fallout.

I’ve honestly never really watch Marvel movies or whatever they are called, I’m just not that interested in them, but this was a good article! Nice job!

I think a movie that should have a sequel is Don’t Look Under the Bed. Its a great movie on Disney+ but I was sad when it ended because it wasn’t a very happy ending.
