Mrs. Chelsea Brawner
November 25, 2019
The Teacher of the Month for November is Mrs. Chelsea Brawner. I asked some questions to get to know her a little better.
Q: Where did you go to school and college?
A: I went to school in Macon County, and I attended college at Tennessee Technological University.
Q: How many kids do you have?
A: I have three kids, four if I include my husband.
Q: Do you have any talents?
A: I’m pretty fluent in sarcasm.
Q: What do you do during your free time?
A: Hahahaha, what is free time?
Q: Tell me how you felt the first year of teaching?
A: I was completely terrified. There is nothing in college that can actually prepare you for teaching as a career.
Q: What made you want to teach English?
A: I figured that if I was good at it, I might as well make a career out of it.
Q: How long have you been teaching?
A: This is my 9th year teaching.
Q: What is the most rewarding thing about being a teacher?
A: I guess it would be the relationships I develop with the kids. I know so many random facts about my students, and I use those facts to teach or to enforce discipline.
