Spread Kindness Like Confetti!
November 26, 2019
As most people know, every day has its own proclaimed holiday. Most days are very silly like National Pickle Day, World Trick Shot Day, and Sock Day. There are some more serious days Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and Humans Rights Day. One that sticks out the most to me is November 13th: National World Kindness Day.
It sticks out to me because if only on this one day, people can make the extra effort to make anyone’s day better than it was before. Not only can you be kind on this day but can be kind on any other day as well. Although November 13th has already passed, it’s never too late to just be nice.
When you do something nice for someone without expecting anything in return, it’s called a random act of kindness. Some different random acts of kindness you could do in your busy life are visit with the elderly, hold a door open for someone, donate blood to a charity, send flowers to someone for no reason, pay or someone’s food in the drive thru, or help someone in need. Here are 5 things you can do every day at school!
Give a stranger or acquaintance a compliment.
Pick up trash in the hallways or classrooms.
Leave money in a vending machine for someone.
Help a classmate take their stuff to class.
Sit with someone who is sitting alone.
I challenge you to be kind every day! Make the extra effort to make someone else feel special and cared for. If you leave a comment with a random act of kindness that you have done or that you would like to do, you will be entered into a drawing for a prize!

Kinda me but I just wanted to tell this story. So in History Class, we were doing a little review game, which was where you answered questions, then got to shoot a ball. Now, I had one shoe off because I borrowed a marker. This is important.
So I answered a question correctly, so I went up to shoot. I was like “Hey, why dont I take off my other shoe?” So I did that. So I miss and go to grab the ball, and slip. I was crying, but also laughing. When I went back to sit down, the person in front of me said something along the lines of “That really made my day” so that made my day! I dont remember the name, but if they are reading this, thank you so much.
