It’s Halloween week! This is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s the one week of the year that you can be something totally different than who you actually are. I’ve put together a list of 10 costumes that I really like.

1. PENNYWISE – “IT” or Pennywise the clown has been popular ever since the original  movie. It came out in 1990. It made a big comeback in 2017 and 2019 with its remakes and is now one of the most popular costumes. It’s #1 for a good reason. He’s creepy! This picture below shows how girls can put their own spin on being the crazy, killer clown.

2. HARRY POTTER – The second Halloween costume idea on this list is Harry Potter. This is one of my favorite book and movies series ever, so it had to make the list. This outfit doesn’t take a lot of effort, and it will easily become a classic because they’re some of the most recognizable characters ever. 

3. MIMES – I added this one to the list because it’s not too common, but it is so easy to dress up as a mime. They usually wear black and white striped shirts, white gloves, black pants or overalls, a beret and white face paint or powder with red or black lips. If you’re ever in a time crunch, this is a great option.

4. ANGEL OR DEVIL – I picked these two because they’re both costumes I’ve used before. I really enjoyed being both of these, and this is the perfect couple or best friend costume. I also like the idea of being a dark angel because it fits Halloween a little better.

5. BABY DOLL– Not just any baby doll — a creepy, broken, haunted baby doll. How much creepier could you get? A dress, a bow, and a face paint to look like you have cracks in your porcelain skin is all you really need!

6. THE ADDAMS FAMILY –  The new 2019 cartoon version of The Addams Family inspired me to choose these costumes. This is a classic Halloween movie favorite, and it’s perfect for a group of friends or a family.

7. HARLEY QUINN –  Harley Quinn is hyper and full of adrenaline   and fun. She carries a bat or gun. She has red and blue makeup and hair. This is such a fun costume and was fresh on my mind after watching the movie recently. This would be a great chance to play around with some makeup.

8.  STRANGER THINGS – TI absolutely love this TV series. This would be such a fun group costume! Because nostalgic trends are coming back, it really wouldn’t be hard to DIY when it comes to this!

9. SALLY – This The Nightmare Before Christmas star is another classic for Halloween. She is a staple for Halloween, and I love how elbaorte she went with her makeup.

10. EDWARD SCISSORHANDS – Last but not least, the tenth Halloween costume idea is Edward Scissorhands. Edward Scissorhands is a man with scissors AS HIS HANDS.  Though nobody really knows how he got scissors for hands.  A lot of people think he is perfect for Halloween because he appears scary, but in the movie, he’s really not. This is a great costume if you want to go all out!
